Ambitious research and development
Our winning formula in development is teamwork
A top team of biologists, dermatologists, chemists and marketing experts work together in research and development. Current trends, interesting raw materials and new dermatological discoveries are intensively discussed and critically assessed. We test, optimise, and modify hundreds of different formulas and fragrance and colour combinations in our laboratories until everyone is happy and the right formula is found. Then it's the turn of our packaging designers; first impressions count.
Raw Material Philosophy
The selection of the raw materials we use is based on strict criteria. Wherever possible, we prefer to use natural rather than synthetic raw materials.
Sensing
User experience and skin sensation are key factors for successful cosmetics. However, the right fragrance is not to be underestimated, it affects our senses and controls our emotions.
The Conservation of Resources
We are implementing this requirement in the development of the formulation by reducing the number of raw materials used to a minimum so we can integrate customer-specific wishes much better...
Tolerance
...and achieve high-quality care results and very good tolerance for skin and hair.
Fragrance Experience
Hotel cosmetics also rely on fragrance and represents an opportunity to be positioned through the fragrance that matches the hotel. We are developing inspiring perfume creations with internationally experienced perfumers.
Quality
We require proof of origin and complete residue monitoring for all natural-based raw materials, especially for the wealth of plant extracts we use.
Sustainability is one of the key considerations in our development work. For example, we avoid the use of parabens, silicone oils and formaldehyde separators as much as possible. We make sure the cleansing substances (surfactants) we use have good biodegradability properties. Furthermore, we use only top-quality fragrances in line with IFRA guidelines.
Over the past two years, we have replaced polyethylene microparticles with abrasive materials made from natural sources such as vegetable wax, nutshells and cellulose which are just as effective, gentle and skin-friendly as their predecessors.
For our Eco by Green Culture brand, we buy palm oil from suppliers that cooperate with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and process only sustainably-sourced palm oil.
However different the disciplines of our experts are, they all pursue one objective: to produce consistently high-quality products, highly-effective applications and perfectly compatible ingredients. In support of this, we therefore also regularly engage in intensive exchange with leading dermatological and scientific institutes.
